About Us

Raymore Outdoor Sports is owned by a Revocable Trust dated 11/18/99.  The operator is Dick Hime.  Mr. Hime was born and raised in Iowa and came to the Kansas City, MO area in 1965.  He studied pre-engineering at GMI in Flint, Michigan, and Business Administration at Central Missouri State University.  Mr. Hime is a combat infantry Veteran of Viet Nam and was awarded the C.I.B., Army Commendation for Valor with two Oak Leaf Clusters, Combat Air Medal, and The Purple Heart while serving with the 1st Battalion, 2nd Infantry Regiment of the First Infantry Division (The Big Red One).  He served the Raymore Police Department from 1973 until 1981 in the positions of Dispatcher, Patrolman, and Patrol Division Sergeant.  He serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees, ushers, and participates in an adult Bible study class at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Raymore and plays rhythm guitar for the "Out of Hand Praise Band".  Mr. Hime is the Claims Administrator for Universal Asset Management, LLC, Harrisonville, MO.  He is on the Board of Directors of Western Missouri Shooters Alliance and writes a Blog for the US Concealed Carry Magazine web site.  He is married to his wife of 41 years, Karen, and has two adult children and six grandchildren.
