The following comments are quoted from voluntary course evaluations provided by some of our hundreds of students and from letters received regarding their experiences. 

October '09 - "I arrived knowing nothing and left with a 98 on the test.  I now feel safe around a gun and actually want one in my home.  Thank you for taking my fear away and changing my mind about guns.  Being a single mom, I can't afford to be a "sheep" anymore."

October '09 - "I would be hard pressed to try to find a way in which I would suggest to improve what you present and teach.  I would just thank you for your patience and committment to the subject matter..."

October '09 -"The education I received in your class got me over my fear.  By the time it was my turn to shoot, the fear was "nearly" gone.  That "sheep" article struck home.  I have been sheltered from bad stuff all of my life and have lived in the world of denial.  Bad stuff happens to good people and that email you sent the other day with the video (and 911 recording) of the woman being attacked at home has scared me.  I am wanting a gun now for the house with a mega child proof lock/system and I'm also going to look into a security system for the house.  Thank you for teaching such a great class and taking the extra time with me."

"Course wonderful and many thanks for a great experience.  Really enjoyed it.  When I went to Cass County Police (Editor's note: Sheriff) they were complaining of the number of folks trying to renew permit only to find they had waited too long.  I told them you went over renewal in depth so they made a note of your phone number and are now going to recommend everyone call you for the course!"  (Editor's Note:  To my knowledge, the Cass County Sheriff's Department cannot,  does not, and will not endorse any specific instructor or course.  But it was a nice thought, wasn't it?)

How can this training course be improved?  "That would be tough to answer.  The course is quite good & informative.  The instructor did a great job."  What was most beneficial?  "The refresher itself (I am former US Army - 7 years).  Also, the opportunity to handle late model semi-auto pistols to gain knowledge for a purchase. Terrific course - I enjoyed it greatly and it gave my wife and I a chance to share in another hobby and necessity of our culture."
