Personal Defense and Firearms Safety - Upcoming Class Schedule

Missouri Concealed Carry Qualification Class
No class will be scheduled in December.

Nov 18 and 21 - Wednesday evening and Saturday until we're finished (approximately 1:30pm)

About the MoCCW Qualification class...

Missouri Concealed Carry Qualification Classes at Raymore Outdoor Sports offer an extremely comprehensive training experience in pistol safety, operations, mental preparation, and firearms law. This class exceeds every aspect of the minimum state requirements because, in our opinion, “minimum” training in a life-changing discipline should never be considered sufficient. Our program costs more than classes at “permit mills” because we provide you much more than the minimum necessities for permit application in a low student/instructor ratio environment. Our maximum class size is six compared to the “permit mills” where thirty or more may be in attendance at a given session. Safety, personal attention, and professional instruction are paramount at Raymore Outdoor Sports. We carry Commercial General Liability Insurance for your safety through Lockton Risk Services and the National Rifle Association. We are licensed by the City of Raymore, Cass County, the State of Missouri, and the B.A.T.F.E. It is recommended for your protection that you demand to see insurance certificates and business licenses for ANY instructor you choose to utilize.

The class includes the NRA Basic Pistol Curriculum in its entirety, as well as sections on Personal Security, Tactics, and the Missouri Revised Statutes. The cost is $135 per student. Graduates of this class will receive a completion certificate that meets the training requirements for Missouri Concealed Carry Permit applicants, in addition to the NRA Basic Pistol Certificate and patch. As you may know, there is no minimum training requirement to “car carry” under Missouri law and car carry does not require a permit. However, it is highly recommended that if you are interested only in “car carry” that you take the complete MOCCW course. Lack of knowledge of the law and personal protection techniques could cost you in legal fees, jail time, or even your life.

On-site live-fire range qualification immediately follows the second class session or can be arranged to take place on a student’s private property at a later time, if so desired. No certificate of completion will be issued to any applicant who does not successfully complete BOTH THE CLASSROOM AND RANGE portions of the course. By reply email you will receive all the information about our class including attachments for registration, waivers, and instructions on what to bring and what to expect. If you do not utilize email, simply drop us a post card or letter requesting the “Class Information Packet” be sure to include your mailing address and a valid phone number with area code. Seating for each classroom session is limited. Applications will be accepted on a first received, first confirmed basis and you will be registered only when your fees and properly completed forms are received at Raymore Outdoor Sports. Upon receiving notification of the class date, do not delay in completing the registration forms and returning them with your check if you are interested in attending this session.

If your check is received after the class is full, you may opt to have it returned or retained as a confirmed reservation for our next session. Be sure your contact information is accurate and up to date. Your check WILL NOT be deposited until the week of the class but it must accompany your registration in order to confirm your intention to attend and reserve your seat.
